Arriving in Fayetteville, NC

Fayetteville, NC is about 6 hours from Waynesboro, PA.  We left early Tuesday morning and arrived around 4:30. It started to rain when we were 30 minutes away!  We were very thankful to have both elders and sister missionaries present to help us unload (as well as a gentleman from the ward).

We love our new apartment!  It is a HUGE step up from our apartment in Chicago.  Ground-level with 2BR/2BA, stainless steel appliances, 9 foot ceiling, and generous space. There are a few repairs that need to be addressed but other than that we're very happy to have found it.

It's 5 minutes from work, 12 minutes from church, and within 5-15 minutes of all the stores we go to.  Unfortunately, there is no Costco here so we're learning to be friends with Sam's Club.

My game face.

Master bedroom

Master bedroom has two walk-in closets. Fabulous!
Office/spare bedroom.
Guest bathroom.  I didn't take a picture of the master bathroom but Mica really likes it.  There's a large storage cupboard and 2 sinks!
Laundry Room.  We're so excited to be able to use our own washer and dryer!  No more climbing 6 flights of stairs to PAY and wash our clothes in a basement.

We have had major thunderstorms since arriving in NC. Does this shot remind anyone of the Independence Day movie?

 Some progress ...

We decided to get a piano since there is a nearby local dealer who sold us a new piano (Kohler & Campbell brand) for 60% off. It sounds great and I'm excited to polish my skills.

  1. Really, really nice! It looks like you have a little fireplace/mantel in your living room. Right? Mica, I love your kitchen. I bet you are thrilled!
